Schüler*innen im Alter von 12-18 Jahren von insgesamt 10 Schulen aus ganz Hamburg setzten sich unter der Anleitung von Fotograf André Lützen mit dem Motto „Breaking Point“ der 7. Triennale der Photographie Hamburg 2018 auseinander. Zu Begriffen der Computertastatur wie Enter, Delete, Space, Home, Return, Shift, Control und Escape haben die Schüler/innen ihre Stadtteile und persönlichen Lebensbereiche fotografiert, neu entdeckt und den Blick auf alltägliche Dinge geschärft. 

Die entstandenen fotografischen Arbeiten wurden im Rahmen der OPENING WEEK in einem eigenen Ausstellungscontainer im Festivalzentrum auf dem Deichtorhallen-Vorplatz sowie im Ausstellungsgang der Kulturellen Bildung in der Halle für aktuelle Kunst präsentiert.

Under the guidance of the photographer André Lützen, schoolchildren of between 12 and 18 years old from ten schools all over Hamburg explored the idea of “breaking point”, the motto of the 7th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2018. Echoing computer keyboard commands such as enter, delete, space, home, return, shift, controlor escape, the students photographed their home districts and the spheres of their personal life, finding new inspiration in them and pointing a fresh gaze at everyday objects.

The ensuing photographic works were presented as part of the “Opening Week” in a dedicated exhibition container situated in the festival hub on the plaza outside the Deichtorhallen and in the exhibition hallway for cultural education in the Hall for Contemporary Art.
